When Jesus told us to "Love our enemies, it was in the context of what happens when we are brought before tribunals and kings, and when our enemies are actively persecuting us. Jesus was not telling us how to witness, or win men to Christ in these verses. He was showing us how to heap coals of fire on the heads of our enemies in times of tribulation and persecution.
The actual truth of the matter, is that we are never to love sinners. We are to hate both them and their sin, because God does. The people who run around saying "Love the sinner, but hate His sin" are simply preaching lies. The Bible commands us as believers to love "The brethren", and to "Love one another" (1Pet. 2:17; Jn. 13:25). But God hates sinners! They offend Him. They are a stench in His nostrils, because He is holy, and His kingdom is a kingdom of righteousness. We need to say what God says about this, and quit speaking the worlds false love doctrines. You show that you hate both God and the truth, when you compromise it to teach the false love doctrines of a world that hates Christ. Look up and compare: Isa. 55:7; Rom. 1:18; Rom. 3:10-19; 1Cor. 6:9-11; Ps. 26:5; Ps. 101:3-8; Ps. 139:21-22; Hos. 9:15: Mal. 1:3; and Rom. 9:13.
