This article examines the early Anabaptist position on non-violence, as well as contemporary factors that seem to tell us it's OK to arm and be armed as Christians. But the only basis for Christian action and thinking is the actual teachings of Jesus, and this study shows why all Christians should lay down their arms, and oppose the use of violence, even for self-protection.
What does the Bible actually say about LOOTING following a crisis or disaster?
Hurricane Sandy has left a trail of looting amidst all the devastation in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and other Northeastern states. We all know that the Bible plainly says "Thou shalt not steal". It's one of the ten commandments. But is it the final word on what God thinks about looting in a time of crisis or disaster? This interesting study might be a real eye-opener to some readers.
The Baptist Doctrine of Separation of Church and State
This essay presents a Scriptural discussion of the historic Baptist doctrine along with some more recent historical facts to consider, which shows how the new doctrine of the evangelical right is not in fact a Baptist doctrine at all. It was the product of the John Birch Society and the era of communist witch hunts. This is really an important article for all Christians to read, because we need to return to the Bible and get out of Washington.
An essay on why Christians should never vote, and how democracy removes all your Christian Liberties. This is a stump speech for Jesus and a plea for all Christians to become non-political.
A short comment about Chic-Fil-A's right to run a Christian Business that does not support and encourage homosexuality. Do private businesses have to endorse the homosexual lifestyle? Should Christian's rights to stand for moral issues be removed?
A Note About Prophetic Ministry In The Current Days of Declension
This will help you to understand the role of prophetic ministry in our troubling times. Many people do not understand this type of ministry, and it robs them of a lot of the good that can come from it.
A politicized faith not only blurs our priorities, but weakens our loyalties … The language of our spiritual citizenship frequently gets wrapped in the red, white and blue. Rather than acting as resident aliens of a heavenly kingdom, too often we sound like resident apologists for a Christian America … Unless we reject the false reliance on the illusion of Christian America, [we] will continue to distort the gospel and thwart a genuine biblical identity.

True Patriotism -John Newton
"Honor the king" (1Pet. 2:17), and "Pray for the king" (1Tim. 2:1-2), leaves no room for disrespecting any president, showing hatred and animosity, and stirring up treason and rebellion.

The Neo-Evangelical Movement
Here is an article that contains some excellent information, especially about the early years of the neo-evangelical movement and it's break with Fundamentalism. The role of Billy Graham is discussed, showing how he led the pack of preachers who marched away from the Sola Scriptura position of historic Christianity .
This article is packed with verses that disprove all the teachings of the word faith and prosperity cults, including healing in the atonement heresies.
Synthetic Seeds is a simple to read and understand exposé of the Prosperity Gospel Cult that is taking over churches everywhere. They want you to sow these synthetic seeds so you will reap a harvest of prosperity. Beware.
This is a short exposition of Romans 1: 18-32. It is not an exhaustive study, It is meant to be suggestive. As a "marriage" minister, it explains one reason why I do not perform same sex marriages. This is not meant in any way to endorse homophobia, or to sanction false notions that we are not to love gays and try to reach them with the gospel as fellow human beings who have the exact same sort of needs as straight people. Sin is sin, and there is no such thing as a "straight" sin or a "gay" sin. We are all "sinners" just the same. But we are not all "reprobates". This study deals with that concept as well as the question: Is homosexuality "genetic" or "spiritual"?
Even though it was written back in the 80's this large article is highly pertinent to today's discussion of homosexuality, trans-gender, emasculation, and gender neutralization
Gender is an assignment By God. Jennifer, the author of this article, seeks to establish the important Biblical role that gender specific truth plays in God plan for both sexes. She does an excellent job of balancing Biblical truth with feminine and masculine patterns for worshiping God. Both sexes are designed to fulfill God's plan by obedience to His Lordship and Sovereign design. This is a beautiful post, and there are others like it on Jennifer's site

Hermeneutic Fallacies Critiqued. First published in the Westminster Theological Journal in 1994, but is very pertinent to the current discussion of the gender specific language of the Bible. As you are probably aware, the trend toward making God into " she", has progressed quite far in our day. Dynamic Equivalence Translations are notorious for this, and for removing distinctions between male and female terminology. This is one reason for rejecting most dynamic Equivalence translations. If you are unsure about these serious issues which undermine the authority of Scripture then you should study this excellent journal article.
If they had a social gospel in the days of the prodigal son, somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he never would have gone home. Vance Havner
Does Christianity Squash Women
This is a very professionally written article about women by a woman. When a man expresses the Biblical concepts taught so beautifully in this article, he is usually condemned as a chauvinist, who don't know the first thing about womanhood, or who don't really care about women. Fortunately the Bible exalts women and describes true womanhood in terms of a covenant relationship with God. This concept raises women from the puritanical image of female servitude to men, and sets all women on the highest and most noble of footings. Great article. Thanks Rebecca.
